Some questions that I have been wondering about. I toss them out on the off chance someone can "educate" me:
If AIDS is not a disease affecting primarily homosexuals, why is one who opposes extravagant AIDS research funding called homophobic?
While we are on the subject, what does "homophobic" mean? Homo means "same, equal, like", phobic means "fear". A fear of like? A fear of equal? A fear of same? What are you talking about? This is not a word.
If marriage is such a bad thing (spouse abuse, sexist traditional roles, constrictive, high divorce rates) & out dated institution why do homosexuals want to get married?
How does an unviable tissue mass become a human in the process of moving through the birth canal? In scientific terms, not legal ones.
How can a pregnant woman be punished for giving birth to a drug addicted baby, for example, "crack babies"? The unviable tissue mass is not a human until it is born, thus the drugs in the mothers system are not having any effect on a human. After birth no drugs in the mothers system are entering the baby's system.
If handing out free condoms & sex education decreases the chance of pregnancy wouldn't handing out free ammunition & weapon education reduce the chance of being shot?
If AIDS is a deadly plague which is going to affect everyone why don't we identify people who have it and quarantine them? If they don't have to be quarantined, how can it be a deadly, contagious disease?
If television doesn't influence people, why are companies paying all that money for commercial time?
Being a vegetarian is simply another way of saying one form of life (animals) is better than another form of life (plants). Isn't that "speciesism"?
If "freedom of religion" means the government can not be involved with any form of religion, doesn't "freedom of the press" mean the government can not be involved with the press?
Why is it morally superior to give a 14 year old girl & boy sex education, free condoms and allow them to have sex, but perverted to take a picture of them actually having sex?
Why do people who believe we are cutting down all our forest use paper? Why do they read magazines, newspapers and books? Why do they publish books?
If the vote for Proposition 209 in California is going to be called into question, shouldn't the vote for Bill Klinton also be called into question?
If 1 in 5 college women are raped, why don't we just have all male colleges, then there would be no women for them to rape?
If women can go in the military use guns to defend themselves from the enemy, who will be men, why can't civilian women carry guns to defend themselves from rapist and muggers? Or will we be sending women into combat with mace and boat horns?
If Christians hate homosexuals because they are actually latent homosexuals themselves (I didn't make this up, some liberal did), does this mean that when homosexuals throw condoms and disrupt Mass at Saint Paul's Cathedral they are actually latent Christians?
Why is gambling bad, except when the government is getting a cut?
According to archeology, the human species originated in Africa. So, aren't we all "African-Americans". If a white "African-American" claims to be such and his claim is rejected wouldn't this be racism?
Some people claim the death penalty doesn't work. Convince me. Show me a dead criminal who committed a crime after death.
On the subject of death, we are in the middle of a massive attack on freedom by the anti-tobacco fascist. I'll stop smoking, as it's bad for my health. Just as soon as you show me some evidence that people who don't smoke don't die.
Why has the JonBenet Ramsey gone national? Why is her picture included with every tiny story about the case? Why is the case in the news everyday? Could the reasons be she is cute, blond, white and rich? Is this racism? Why is the news media being racist? The media has lots of time to accuse other people of racism, don't they have any mirrors in their new offices? Why is the Boulder police department kissing the families butt? If she were a poor black girl in Fifth Ward down in Houston Texas would the media care? If her father were a poor black man would the police be going so far above and beyond?
