Let's take a look at how things would progress is women were granted total equality to men, and had to behave under those rules.
There would be no choice as to serving in combat. Women would register for the draft and go where the military sent them, just like men. Women would share common barracks, latrines or heads, showers and haircuts. They would have the same requirements for the physical fitness test. When I was in the Army men had to do 6 chin-ups, women had to hang from the bar for 30 seconds. Excuse me while I collapse in a laughing fit . . . .
Women would have the same right to an abortion that men have, none. Actually, they wouldn't need abortions, since in order to be equal they would have to be sterilized. Last time I checked men don't have babies. Not that I've tried to make a baby with a man mind you.
Women would have additional toilet facilities at least, since the "mens" room would now be open to the women, as would the "womens" room be open to the men.
PMS would vanish but hangovers would double.
Women would not be allowed to wear, in the work environment; shorts, dresses, makeup, excessive jewelry, high heels, stockings or colors. Their choice of clothing would be limited to shirts, slacks and jackets in black, dark blue or brown. Further, at many jobs they would not be permitted to have ear rings or long hair. Also, they would have to wear strips of cloth tied around their necks cutting off the circulation to their brains and inhibiting breathing.
When women accused people of crimes, especially accusing men or rape, they would have to have evidence.
Getting a job would not be a choice, it would be a requirement. No man is allowed to sit around the house and let a woman support him, so why should a woman get away with it.
Women would not "marry up". That is to say, a woman would consider marrying a man who make less money than she does. I know some of you will want to argue this one. Nice try, and so easy for me to destroy. Give me an example, a real person. A name and a phone number of two married people, both of whom will show me their W-2, W-4, what ever those things are. You can't do it. For those of you who are getting a kick out of the fact that I don't know the nomenclature of the form, I apologize that my life is not so empty that I sit around memorizing the numbers on government forms.
Face it, women do not want equality, they want preferential treatment based on personal preference.
