Where do I stand? What do I think? What are my passions? Why do I do what I do? How to I view the world and the people in it? All fair questions which may be of concern to you. Hopefully I will reveal some of the answers below. That or simply deepen the mystery.

"On The Fly" is how I work. I pick up this phrase from working in the oil field. Without going into boring detail about fracking gas/oil wells, what you need to know is that often we would start going down hole (nothing to do with sex) without a plan or safety net. This was termed "fracking on the fly". My photography tends to be the same way. There may be a plan, there may not, but either way much of it is going to be made up as I go along. I find that too much planning gets in the way of having fun & making good photos. Most of the time it works out pretty well. Good art comes from having fun in the process of creation. That is what attracts me to photography. The end results I'm going for are simple: Having a good time while creating images that people will enjoy looking at. No desire to save the world or make a statement. Just fun.

I don't believe in lots of flashy equipment. I use a 35mm SLR. I have 4 lenses, 6 filters, 2 flash units and a brain. My brain is equal to all that glitzy crap you see in the pro studios. Those pros need all that crap 'cause they have no freakin' creativity so they hide behind the high tech toys. I however, am the man. I don't need no freakin' digital camera light.
Ok, I'm a bit over the top here, but I really do believe that all the equipment holds you back more than it helps you. The less you have to work with, the more creative you have to be in order to overcome your limits. Quite honestly, if you give anyone a studio with fancy lighting & a digital camera they can eventually take a great photograph. The adventure comes from not knowing how things are going to look until the film is developed. Of course this isn't totally true: With experience comes the ability to know what you are going to get when taking a photo.
I also very seldom use the computer to "fix" images. It has always seemed to me that it makes more sense to simply take the photo right when I take the photo, then I don't have to repair it.
I have certainly done my share of crap when it comes to photography, but I've also done things I'm pretty damn proud of.

Life? Life is a game. You can make up your own rules. You can't get out alive. You can have fun. You can't let others dictate your beliefs. You can make a difference. You can't let hardship smack you down. You can help other people. You can't give other people orders. You can find other people who will help you. You can't expect to be taken care of. Live the middle path.

From the Tao Te Ching:

81

True words aren't eloquent;
eloquent words aren't true.
Wise men don't need to prove their point;
men who need to prove their point aren't wise.

The Master has no possessions.
The more he does for others,
the happier he is.
The more he gives to others,
the wealthier he is.

The Tao nourishes by not forcing.
By not dominating, the Master leads.

As to my models in specific, I can't take photos of beautiful women without beautiful women. That makes my models pretty damn important. If I enjoy working with someone I want to work with them again, and I want them to work with me again. I like to be friends with the people I shoot. Not to be taken in the sense of we hang out all the time & call each other, but in the sense that we can trust and count on each other, enjoy working to together, and have fun doing it.
Right now I'm still a poor photographer, but I try to offer as much financial compensation as I can swing. Usually that ain't much. I wish I could pay $100 an hour, but that's not happening soon. So, if you are just in it for the money, you don't wanna waste your time with me. However, if you can imagine just having some fun, getting some good photos for your own use, and making a little money, then things are looking bright.
Plus you get to hang out with me. I mean how lucky can any girl be???
