This is my friend Donut. I recruited her into modeling for me as I thought she would make for some adorable photos. As usual, I was right. I'm always right. It's just how I am. Don't fight it.
This first sequence didn't come out as good as I had hoped. I should have done more like 017, but I wasn't thinking straight or something. Not bad overall, but not my greatest either. This shoot was done in Mugs Underground. Film: Fuji Astia 100.
Outside at the county courthouse, one of the more useful places I've found for photography. I really like these colours and how they work for her. This is my favourite colour sequence. There are a few in here that are real winners. The last 4 are lots of fun. I will probably develop that idea some more in the future. Film: Fuji Astia 100.
I don't know what happened here, but I was less than thrilled with most of these photos. Some of them are pretty good, but whatever the reason, my groove was off. Film: Fuji NPC 160 Profession Portrait.
These turned out well. I'm pretty happy with this group. Film: Fuji NPC 160 Profession Portrait.
Playing checkers at Mugs. Most of these are with natural light, but sometimes I threw in some fill flash. We were right next to a floor to ceiling window so natural light was all over the place. Film: Ilford Super XP2.
Maybe my least favourite of the Donut photos. I think simply because her hair came out so flat looking. Otherwise, many of these are really cute or funny, but for the hair just doesn't have the bounce it has in the other photos. It was a bit windy that day, but that should have helped one would think. Not in this case. Film: Ilford Super XP2.
Shot on Ilford Delta 3200. Quite a few in this series that I like. Some more serious & thoughtful looking moods, and of course a few silly ones to start things off. But silly is good. Lens flare on those last three. I never fight lens flare, I try to use it as best I can.
This sequence simply did not have many shots that I liked. I tried a number of things which simply didn't work out for me compositionally, etc. Still, some good things came from it. Still on Ilford Delta 3200.
This as actually the first role of our second shoot. Delta 100 film. I like this one as we managed to get a wide range of emotions and moods.
