Delayed Outcomes
part one - periphery
that which is most wanted
causes the greatest grief
not knowing the correct approach
results in eternal holding patterns
always on the periphery
never closing for the kill
always dreaming of what could be
never making the dream real
Part Two - Mediocrity
Apply hesitation
Soon the moment will pass
Prolonging the decision
Means never taking a chance
To be totally passive
Waiting for happenstance
Trading all the great rewards
For never falling on your ass
Every closing imagined
Has multiple versions of the end
Some ride off into the sunset
Some turn around and begin again
Some show reflections of the past
Some are shadows of what could have been
The security of failure
Is it a blessing, or a sin
Mediocrity is easy to find
It's so much harder to loose
Once it get a tender grasp
Feel how hard it pulls
Whispering arguments
Tempting with things of no use
Substituting the willing lies
For the rebellious truths
