Three Poems

Find yourself searching, for something left behind,
or is it for something you have yet to find.
A penetrating gaze, looking so close, starting to wonder,
a tide that pulls you, storms of lightning and thunder.
Then connection is made, you let go and fall inside.
Open up, give of yourself, and finally confide.

I saw the sun rise
and in that I saw a new beginning.
There were odds of losing
but also great chances of winning.
Then came high noon.
I cast a long shadow no more,
but I knew my form and size
were the same as before.
Dusk rushed to meet me,
the sun bedded in sheets of colours,
the first star I see tonight,
the silhouettes of lovers.
Under light of full moon
do my dreams expressions begin.
I slumber happily
Knowing the sun will rise again.

Some people live for wealth.
Some people live for power.
Some people value health
in their finest hour.
All of these, in moderation,
are important to survive,
but the greatest expectation
is when the bright moments arrive.

Bright moments bring happiness
which bury us in charm.
Hold us warm, bring us bliss,
safeguarding us from harm.
Bright moments leave us satisfied
because there is no harm they do.
Open up, let them inside,
for there is nothing else to do.
