Here Come Violins
I saw myself thru your eyes and I had no where left to go.
Secrets have been lost to me. I will never know
the whisper of your voice in my ear, your hand in mine.
There is a shapeless darkness consuming me which I can not define.
chorus:
Here come violins playing in the heart.
Life skips on the edge every time they start.
Worlds here and now soon torn apart.
Silence overwhelms the sounds of violins in the heart.
All the fish cast upon the shore,
all the turtles blown into the air,
all the birds plunged within the sea,
find them crawling thru limbo on a wing & a prayer.
Captured images are hanging static and dusty on the walls.
Disembodied voices speak to me each time someone calls.
Government documentation will confirm my identity.
The book, the pencil, the coffee have lost all meaning to me.
chorus:
Each day gives birth to precious memories.
Countless safe harbours hold back stormy seas.
Sunlight on the skin tingles and dances.
Moonlight in the eyes discovers and chances.
