A great photo is the credit of the model.
A terrible photo is the fault of the photographer.

Thanks & Acknowledgments:
Props out to my models for being so brave & bold: Alayna, Crystal, Elizabeth and Maureen (the rookie of the group).
All colour photos taken with Fuji Astia 100, all black & white photos with Ilford Delta 400.
Here's to Markham photo lab, 204 North Link Lane, Fort Collins, 221-9429 for kick-ass quality transparency processing & fast turn-around time.
I'll drink a beer to all the citizens of Fort Collins who stood around with their mouths open like they have never seen a girl in a bikini before. You people need to get out of the house more.
At last it's done, the 2004 swimsuit shoot & the 2004 On The Fly Swimsuit Calendar. Along the way much fun was had, much time was devoted, much money was spent (damn did I spend money) and much lessons was learned.
Lessons learned:
1. Focus. Focus on the model. Don't focus on the background. Learn to focus. Did I mention: Focus?
2. When doing early morning shoots, look out for the bags under the eyes. Our eyes don't see things the same way film sees things. What you don't notice in person just might end up in the photos.
3. Ditto for tan lines. I never noticed the tan lines on Maureen's legs until I got the photos back.
4. Sorting through hundreds of photos of women in bikinis is not as exciting as most people think it is.
5. A project of this scope takes way longer than you think it will.
6. Nothing ever goes as planned. That is why I don't spend to much time planning.
